Wish I had checked out this web site before today. I often wondered where the Navy EOD graduates of 67' are at, and those who served in NAM in late 68'-69'. Is there a locator site for Navy former EOD troops?

First time on here, great site!
Not sure how many on here know EODCM Billy Spoor.
He's retiring after nearly 34 years of active duty on the 18th of December at the TECHDIV here in Indian Head. If any would like to send Billy a message or get in touch with him prior to the event please shoot me an email at robert.d.zimmerman@navy.mil

It is with much regret that I inform the members
and the rest of the EOD Community that our
brother Rodney Wilkinson recently passed away.
He was a much loved character and will be missed
by the brotherhood of EOD. Wilky was awarded 2
purple hearts and a bronze star during the Vietnam conflict. Rod was a member of his local
purple heart association and helped to form the Vietnam Vets organization.

Found this site from following links which originated at the Fragweb website. I was stationed with the 59th EOD 1st at Quang Tri the moved it down to Camp Evans and finally stood the unit down the later part of 1971. After standdown I was assigned to 533rd EODCC until departure in April 1972. Greatings to all.

Should have sent this message a month ago, but we are slow at everything these days. Just wanted to say how happy we were to see everyone in Branson and wished that more would have been able to attend. Also, I would like to publically thank all of the EOD people for their terrific support of my book, Xuc May. You all were the acid test as to whether or not it would sell. At this point we have sold a few over 300 copies and still going. We expect to be able to make a generous donation to the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation from the sales. Thank you so much for your support. Gary Pool
